IMPORTANT 1. There is NO SMOKING (cigarettes, marijuana, vaping, etc.) in the house. Please limit any smoking to outdoors. Please dispose of cigarette/cigar butts responsibly by using the ash trays found near the front door, as well as the back door. 2. During winter months, all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles may be necessary. The cottage driveway can be difficult to traverse with snow. 3. All trash must be bagged before placing in the dumpsters (in the shed) provided (there is no trash service at the lake - we handle it ourselves 4. Please keep an eye on children and DO NOT use our neighbors dock, swimming platform, or tire swing Below are a few important things to go over, as we want your stay to be as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Sharing this info with other guests in your party is very much appreciated. Neighborhood rules: -- Drive down the lake roads very slowly. Most of the roads are single lane -- Voices and noise around the lake travels. Please, no loud music and loud partying -- Please be considerate of our neighbors. Keep the noise to a minimum after 10 p.m. -- A rowboat, kayaks and a paddleboat are available for your use. NO MOTORIZED BOATS ALLOWED on Kassuba Lake. -- If you are bringing a paddle board, kayak, etc., THE BOTTOM MUST BE WASHED before entering the lake to avoid any potential invasive species pollution

My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Mark's cabin celebrating my wife's birthday. The home was perfect and extremely cozy as well as being very clean and in great shape. Everything in the home worked flawlessly and directions were very clear. The property was beautiful and the hot tub was a great relaxing treat. The area had great restaurant options nearby. We enjoyed Mill Street Pizza in Vanderbilt and Breakfast at Rise and Dine in Downtown Gaylord. The Coffee at Brennan's was fantastic and we Highly recommend visiting the new winery, Vanderbilt Vines Winery and Tasting Room.

Our family enjoyed the house. We were visiting in a winter and used the house as a retreat after sky adventure, so we can't say a lot about summer activities on the lake. The house is nice and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and organized with nice and clean dishes and pots. Hot tub is well maintained and was perfect after the day of skiing. Mark was very welcoming and made sure the cabin was in good working order before we arrived. He and his wife provided local snacks, restaurant recommendations, and an extra space heater to make sure the cabin stayed warm in the sub-zero temps (it was plenty toasty without it). He was extremely responsive and flexible with out schedule for check-in/check-out

Mark’s place is in a beautiful location and was exactly as described! Had everything we needed and was a very convenient location for Boyne and Gaylord. The owners were very responsive and kind, we would definitely recommend and stay again!

This place was everything we looked for in a house for a group of guys going on a snowboarding trip. The place was clean and well organized with plenty of extras that you normally aren't expecting with an Airbnb. One thing we loved about this house was the little things. The cabinets and bathrooms were full with cups, napkins, bags, pans, coffee, soaps, towels, and anything else you might think of to bring. A lot of that stuff we bought and were surprised to find provided. If we weren't able to find anything the owner, mark, was more then willing to answer any questions. We had a request that most host would consider definite NOs and they were very open to allowing us do them. This was also the cleanest house we have all ever stayed at. This should be considered the standard for excellence in a Airbnb home. Will be recommending to friends and family because this place deserves it.
